We prepare citizenship applications for Legal Permanent Residents (green card holders). Must be a CASA member. All members must be screened by a specialist for eligibility. Preparation includes preparing the N-400 application, assistance with necessary addendums, unlimited mentoring to prepare for the interview, post citizenship needs (assistance with applying for U.S. passport, updating social security, updating resume, etc). Preparation for citizenship for children (N-600) is also offered. Cost for preparation is $50.00 or $75.00 (if attorney is needed).
 

We prepare green card renewals for Legal Permanent Residents. Must be a CASA member. All members must be screened by a specialist for eligibility. Cost for preparation is $50.00.  

All members preparing citizenship or green card application with our Citizenship Department will receive legal consultation from a Department of Justice Accredited Representative or CASA staff immigration attorney (if applicable, depending on the case). In-person legal consultation is available at monthly citizenship clinics. Please see our calendar for upcoming dates. Cost for legal consultation is $75.00. Please note that consultation does not guarantee that we will take your case. 

Work with a specialist to determine if you qualify for a USCIS fee waiver that can reduce or completely waive your application fee. Assistance is provided to prepare each fee waiver. There is no cost for fee waiver preparation.  

We offer various financial education services including credit management, household budgeting, affording naturalization and other immigration fees, banking, and more. Individual advising and group advising available.  

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax assistance to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. There is no cost to prepare. *CASA membership not required.

We offer citizenship courses designed for lawful permanent residents (green card holders) who applied for or are preparing to apply for United States citizenship. Classes are 10 weeks. The course covers 1) the citizenship process 2) the USCIS N-400 form 3) the 100 civics interview questions 4) the basics of American history 5) a basic review of reading and writing for the citizenship test and 6) steps for new citizens. Also included in this course is 7) a “Know Your Rights” presentation and 8) three hours of financial literacy workshops that cover managing credit, understanding banking, and creating a household budget. Course fee is $50.00. Must be a CASA member.
